Refer to dr ravi today. N to check wound to see if infection or tumour.
Took wound swab. wil do dressing...dressing to b inserted into the wound. N wait for swab to c its infection, not to start antibiotic yet. If wound heal with dressing means its good. Right now,now to do anytin invasive to find out if its infection or tumour. Wound depth about 1.5 inches.
Frm dr ravi: left lung total collapse, noting can b done, its due to disease progression. Right lung left 2/3. The air trapped in lungs r caused by tumours adhering to the membrane( the thin layer tat protect the lungs), once it adhere it will rupture the membrane, air from lung escapes into the space, compressing the lungs. For right lung possible intervention is VATS, to stick the inner n outer layer of membrane together preventin it frm further collapse but ni gurantee n also to look at the risk.
To put tube into the lung to remove air is also an option but its unlike fluid where drainage can be estimated. For air its difficult to estimate how much to draw out. To refer to dr arun, surgeon regarding VATS.
Lung is the major concern. Dr paul expect to hv further deterioration within next few weeks and in case of emergency admission, family to discuss whther to just gv oxygen n mk her comfortable or to do aggresive intervention eg insert tubing, plc in icu to buy time. Next fup dressing appt wed 9am.
Votrient may cause feeling tired, loss of appetite, loss of weight, pain, wound dehiscence.
Reply frm dr paul: Don't think it is related to the medication especially in the context of the lung and abdominal disease but can stop the medicine if you all are worried abt the medication.
Stopped medic frm next day onwards.
