First follow up

12th April 2014, Saturday

First follow up appointment since discharge with Dr Paul Ng to check on her stitches and follow up plan with Dr John Law.

Wound is slightly infected but overall is fine.

Discussion with Dr John Law, he gave a few options:
1) Carboplatin/Taxol
2) Gemzar/Carboplatin
3) Observation with monthly chest Xray and three monthly CT scan

Since sarcoma is not so responsive to treatment and we would not want to see her go through the suffering of chemo side effects, we decided to observe her and when symptoms come we will then start her on treatment.

After consultation with Dr John, popo went to take Chest X ray. There was a 2.5cm lesion on the left lung.

Had dinner at hospital cafe while waiting for popo's surgery.

Dr Paul and his team removed the tumour and did a total hysterectomy. Her ovaries were normal, thus they suspected it to be sarcoma. Part of her bowel was also resected because the tumour was partially blocking it. No colostomy done. She was then admitted to ICU for recovery. We took turns, two person each time to visit her. She said she feels really tired. So we quickly said hi and prayers before we went home.

The day of admission, one day before surgery

30th March 2014, Sunday

Popo's op was scheduled on Monday. She was admitted to hospital on the day before which is Sunday . It previously planned to go for Cheng Beng on Sunday.
